Meet our December CAMP Scholar Juanita Gomez. Juanita is one of our Cohort 20 CAMP scholars. She is currently pursuing a bachelor's in Counseling and Community Psychology and a bachelor's in Spanish. She aspires to continue her education by earning a Master’s degree in Psychology.
Juanita graduated from Hatch Valley High School and joined CAMP through the TRIO Upward Bound program. After being accepted into NMSU, she was ecstatic to begin her college experience and now cherishes the guidance CAMP provided through mentoring, support, and personal tutors.
Juanita intends to serve her community by becoming a school counselor and “help students from my community enroll in college” by informing them of the different opportunities that are available for students seeking post-secondary education.
