Event Overview
There are approximately 2.9 million agricultural workers in the United States. From March 25–31, 2026, NMSU CAMP (College Assistance Migrant Program) hosted Farmworker Awareness Week to raise awareness of the important contributions of farmworkers and the challenges they face.
On March 26, the NMSU CAMP Student Showcase provided CAMP Scholars with an opportunity to share their experiences, perspectives, and advocacy for farmworker communities.
Through the events and activities held throughout Farmworker Awareness Week, NMSU CAMP honored the hard work and contributions of farmworkers while highlighting their important role in our communities and bringing greater awareness to the challenges they continue to face.
