Karla Soto completed a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education at New Mexico State University in December 2025. Karla grew up in the Hatch Valley where she raised her whole life. She graduated from Hatch Valley High School in 2021. Throughout her life Karla has been surrounded by agricultural work as her parents have worked in agriculture for over 30 years. Karla's main motivation to succeed is rooted from the strong values her parents have instilled in her. Moving forward Karla is looking forward to obtaining her graduate degree from New Mexico State University. Karla currently serves as the pre-graduate advisor with NMSU CAMP, contributing to the academic success of CAMP students as they pursue higher education. Karla aspires to give back to her community through her work in the classroom. She looks forward to stepping into the next chapter and being an educator, mentor, and haven for her students. In and out of the classroom Karla aspires to be a positive role model to those around her demonstrating Latina excellence in every aspect.
