Ruth L. Palacios is majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Business Administration. Originally from Deming, New Mexico, she is passionate about expanding her knowledge and applying what she learns in meaningful ways. This semester, Ruth's goal is to excel in her classes while continuing to grow both academically and personally through new challenges and experiences.

After graduation, Ruth hopes to work in an environment where she can strengthen her engineering skills, gain valuable industry experience, and eventually achieve her dream of owning her own business. She believes that combining her engineering background with business knowledge will allow her to create opportunities not only for herself but also for others.Ruth shares that CAMP has had a tremendous impact on both her education and personal development. The program provided support, encouragement, and guidance as she balanced school with life's challenges, helping her build confidence and recognize opportunities she once thought were out of reach. Inspired by her own experience, Ruth hopes to help future students pursue higher education and realize that their circumstances do not define their future.

 

She believes in living with faith, resilience, and purpose, guided by her favorite quote: "The only thing worse than being powerless is falling for the illusion that power comes from what you have instead of who you are willing to become."
