Daniel Aguilar is a Civil Engineering major from Deming, New Mexico, and is preparing to graduate this semester. His goal is to complete his degree and begin the next chapter of his professional career. Throughout his time at New Mexico State University, Daniel has remained committed to his studies while balancing the many responsibilities that come with college life.

After graduation, Daniel plans to join Horrocks Engineering as a full-time Civil Engineer in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He is excited to apply the knowledge and skills he has gained throughout his education to projects that will positively impact communities across the region. He looks forward to continuing to grow professionally while making meaningful contributions to the engineering field.

As a first-generation college student, Daniel credits CAMP with providing the support system he needed to successfully navigate college. The program connected him with people who understood his experiences, encouraged him during difficult times, and reminded him of the reasons he began his educational journey. Daniel hopes to return one day to encourage future students to pursue careers in STEM and remind them that perseverance through challenges can lead to incredible opportunities.

In his free time, he enjoys watching stand-up comedy, listening to comedy podcasts, and playing GeoGuessr while learning about geography.

His favorite life quote is, "Sky's the limit!"
